A Helpful Innovation?

On this lazy Sunday afternoon, I found myself, like many other people, watching football on TV. But this post isn't about a certain football game or team or play. Its about a certain commercial that I saw while watching one of the games today. I forget which car company it was for, but the general idea of the commercial was a car sitting in the center of a large and dark room. On the walls of this room, were countless numbers of clocks all ticking away towards 12. And once these clocks hit 12, they all rang out at the same time. Except, right before you hear the noise of the clocks, the camera zooms inside of the car and all you hear is silence. And thats basically the whole commercial. Guess its supposed to market the innovation of how its supposed to be super quiet inside of the car. Tell me this, how is that supposed to be beneficial? I mean, seriously, the only reason you would want the inside of your car to be completely silent is if you're super narcissistic and you just want to drive in your own little world. I mean, you need to be able to hear other cars when you're out on the road. You need to be able to hear those honks and especially you need to hear sirens. I almost never see an ambulance or fire truck before I hear it, so I like being able to hear everything. I just think its one of the stupidest ideas ever to try and make the inside of a car to be soundproof, because one of the things they always tell you in driving school is to always be aware of your senses, and always listen up for things. Its as if the car company wants you to crash lol. . .

Sorry for the random rant. I just felt like I needed to post something haha. . .
