So yeah winter break is over and school starts once again. To be honest, ive really missed Hayward. I find it weird that I felt a little homesick over a place thats not even my real home. But it does feel real good to be back though. Its really nice seeing some of the old faces all over again and even though I still haven't seen everyone yet, I know I eventually will.
Lately ive been volunteering at the bookstore for the backpack checkins. To be honest, it seems like a really shitty job but its actually one of the funnest things ive done for AphiO. I like itneracting with all of the customers. I find myself having such a good time while doing it that I can't stop smiling and being happy, and it kind of passes onto the customers. They see me having a fun time and they can't help but smile back at me and it just gives me a good feeling knowing that I brightened up their day for that one brief instance.
Working outside the bookstore also gives me a chance to see all of my old friends from over the years. One of my biggest gripes about college is that its hard to keep in contact with some people, because if you only have one class with a certain friend then its nearly impossible to find them on campus without making some prior arrangement. But now working in front of the bookstore has helped me to at least say hi and catch up a little bit with some of my friends.
Oh I am extremely excited about classes this quarter. I love not having any science classes at all. Its like 10 tons off my back. My classes on Mondays are really interesting actually. My stats class seems like it will be bearable after all. I was scared because my teacher has a fobby name and I thought she may have an accent, and she does but its understandable. Shes also really cutesy, like her powerpoint has a Snoopy wallpaper. I was like "awww how cute". My other class on Monday is with my favorite professor ever, Melissa Michelson. Shes the only professor that ive ever quoted on my facebook because shes that damn good. She has a way of keeping you interested in whatever shes talking about because shes always in such a great mood when shes teaching. She always smiles and shes really entertaining which makes everything fun. The last class I took with her, she made the class cupcakes, which is never a negative. Seriously, when can you go wrong with cupcakes? Oh wait, diabetes parties. My last class on Mondays is with professor Zajac and shes cool. Not really the most entertaining person in the world but I know I'll pass the class with a decent grade cause shes easy. Shes also my department chair now that im a Criminal Justice Major. Oh thats right, I had to switch majors because of Organic Chem. I don't know why they're making us learn stuff like that. Unless you're going to be seriously researching how to make new chemicals, you don't need to know stuff like that. And I sure as hell never would have used it in forensics so whatever now. I choose Criminal Justice because its still similar to forensics, and hopefully with this degree I can do something in the line of detective work.
My Tuesdays are really cool also because I got Badminton and Ping Pong class one after the other. I made a few new friends in class today already also because I knew one of the girls in my Ping Pong class and she introduced me to her other friends that were also doing the same thing I'm doing, which is taking both classes one after the other. The only thing that sucks about it is the teachers because I don't think theyre gonna just let us play right away, but I know that it'll all be good because I already know how to play both sports decent enough. I'm a little worried about badminton though, because even though I used to play alot back in high school and during the first few years of college, I haven't played in about a year. I'm sure I'll be fine though after like, an hour or two.
So far I am surviving my 2nd quarter of college in my 3rd year. I had Jamba Juice for dinner today (yeah Jamba Mamba!) and tomorrow I'll be done at noon, which is very nice. I'm looking forward to working for around 7 hours tomorrow at the bookstore. I kinda have a new goal, which is to get the top hours for this year for service. I might as well start off strong you know. So till next time.
