The week in review.

Yesterday was probably one of the most eventful days I've had this school year. My school had its annual Al Fresco celebration, which is basically a little festival where each club, greek society, and scholarly department at the school sets up a table and tries to spread information about their group. It's a really cool thing because its more like a party than a school event. This year we actually had some decent artists perform at our school, that being Talib Kweli and David Banner.

This year though, I actually got to help out at one of the tables. Nerdy as it may sound, I helped out at the Anime club's table this year and I had a real fun time with it. I brought along my guitar and played a little and I got to meet alot of new people that seemed like they would come and join our club. Also got to see all of my old friends from the club which was a plus.

My main mission for the day though, was to get information about the frat that I'm going to rush for this quarter. I went over to their table and talked to the girl handing out the flyers, and she said they were having an information night that very night at 7:30. So I got a flyer and I was like "yes mission accomplished".

Info night was pretty cool though. Met alot of new people there. Its kind of hard for me to meet new people since I'm not really that great of a talker, but I found it really easy to get along with the people at the info night. I also got to meet a few of the other guys and gals that could be pledging along with me. In all, I had a really good time and I thought the night as going to stop there. . .

. . .but it didn't. I was about to leave the info night, when one of the guys there asked us if we wanted to go to Chevy's and eat dinner there with the PASA club from our school. I was like "sure why not" since I hadn't had dinner yet and it would have also been a good way to get to know the guys better. We got there and ordered our food and it was pretty good, and we just hung out there for awhile. Then one of the guys had a pretty random urge to go running, so we decided we'd go running. We went to his house, and I swear, he has one of the best views in all of Hayward. From his backyard, you can see alot of SF and other parts of the Bay Area. Really quite beautiful. So we drove back to the school and went out to the track to go running at 11:30pm. It was pretty fun though, because the temperature was really cool late that night, and also we saw some deer while running. In all, the night was pretty cool.

Well this Saturday, I went to SF to go hangout with my girlfriend. We stayed at her house for awhile, then we went to go meet up with our friend Noreen and some of her friends. Noreens one of those people I met from online, so seeing her is always a fun experience. Technically I met my girlfriend online also, but we hardly even spoke online before we started dating lol. Well we went to dinner at Westfield mall in SF and had some interesting moments with my hamburger. I put too many condiments on it, so it got really soggy and ended up falling apart on me. Well after dinner, I took my gf back to her house. Sucks cause its gonna be the last time I see her for two weeks. Oh well, waiting has always been one of my strong points so hopefully I can last.

From SF, I drove to my friend Jaime's house since his birthday was on wednesday. All of us had school on wednesday, so we decided to celebrate on Saturday. We ended up playing a board game for a little bit at his house, then we drove all the way to Sacramento to go pick up our other friend. Then we drove back to Woodland to go get some food from Sonics, and then we drove back to Sacramento. Crazy night though. Laughed so hard it hurt. Keywords to remember : "Nigga are you gay?"//"Flip him over flip him over!"//. Ahh good times but yeah, we ended up staying the night in Sacramento. Drove back at around 1 the next day, ate a hella good breakfast at Red Robins. We kept on getting refills for our drinks and refills on our fries, and our burgers were insane delicious. It filled us up all the way till dinner time. Well I got home at around 2, and I took a nap until around 7.

I actually got alot accomplished this weekend. I got batteries for my wireless mouse, I got business attire clothes for my pinning on tuesday, I got my N64 games and controllers for the dorm. Those 3 things were the missions I set out prior to the weekend. Also this weekend, I got my halloween costume from Christine as well as talked to her for awhile, and I also sent in my application for an absentee ballot so I can vote in this years election. Today was pretty nice also, since my friend let me have a few pages from her lab notebook so I can turn in the assignments, and I also received my chem book in the mail today. I cashed in the check from selling my old chem book also, so I made a quick 100 bucks from that. About the only thing I didn't accomplish this weekend was that I didn't get a stuffed scooby doo as the final part to my halloween costume. Oh well, I'm geting that this weekend so its all going to begin to fall into place.
